Worldwide Flight Services – Cargo Warehouse Agent

One Resourcing are delighted to be recruiting for Worldwide Flight Services. WFS currently have a requirement for a full time Cargo Warehouse Agent.
The Cargo Warehouse Agent position with our client Worldwide Flight Services is a 26 week (6 month) temporary to permanent position where you will work you probationary period through One Resourcing.
On successful completion of your probation period Worldwide Flight Services have the option of offering you a permanent position. This would be subject to satisfactory performance, attendance and timekeeping.
You will be required to work both day and night shifts for this assignment, you will be required to work some, but not all weekends and some, but not all bank holidays.
There are various Shifts patterns available an example of one of the shift patterns is 4 on – 4 off, this would consist of working 2 days, 2 nights and 4 off. The day shifts will start at 06:00 and finish at 18:00. The night shifts would start at 18:00 and finish at 06:00.
The assignment with Worldwide Flight Services through One Resourcing is an ongoing temporary assignment and you will be offered hours as required. Additional hours may be available should the business have a requirement.
The role of Cargo Warehouse Agent will consist of working in all areas of Worldwide Flight Services cargo warehouse.
You will be responsible for the loading and unloading of aviation cargo.
You will be required to drive a counterbalance fork-lift so a current / valid counterbalance fork lift-licence is essential for this assignment.
Due to the location of this assignment it is essential that you have access and have the use of your own transport.
Worldwide Flight Services will cover the cost of staff car parking.
You will be provided with all PPE required for this assignment.
You will be required to provide a valid Passport or UK Driving Licence and Birth Certificate and Proof of National Insurance Number
Previous experience within a similar Warehouse role, Air Freight/Cargo role or an Airside role with transferable skills is required.
- You will be required to undergo induction and security level D training to be able to the duties of a Cargo Warehouse Agent
- You will be required to undergo a Fork-lift Counterbalance course if you do not currently hold a valid fork lift-license, this can be arranged through One Resourcing but will be at your own expense.
The temporary worker’s remuneration is £8.50 per hour for day shift and £9.50 for Night shift worked for any hours for the first 12-weeks of this assignment.
After successful completion of 12 weeks continuous service the temporary worker’s remuneration will increase to £11.92 per hour for any hours worked in the assignment.
All Overtime for the first 12 weeks of the assignment is paid a basic rate. After successful completion of 12 weeks continuous service overtime above rostered hours will be paid at the rate of time plus a half.
Double time will also be paid for any overtime hours completed on Friday night, Saturday day and night and Sunday day and any bank holidays.
