Job Description

Aircraft Cleaners needed. No experience necessary. Candidates must be flexible in regards to working hours, be able to provide a full five year reference history and a UK Criminal Record Check/ Overseas Criminal Record Check where applicable due to Gatwick Airport security regulations.

Successful candidates will need to have lived in the UK for three years over the last 5 years, as the role requires you to undergo a Counter Terrorism Check.

Job Summary

One Resourcing are extremely proud to be recruiting on behalf of our client, Gatwick Ground services, for the role of Aircraft Cleaner. You will be responsible for completing aircraft cleaning functions to deliver a high standard of presentation for customer aircraft cabin areas, GGS provide airport ground handling and aircraft cleaning services to British Airways.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

The role Aircraft Cleaner will consist of all duties of the Aircraft Appearance team including:

  • To clean aircrafts, offices and associated work
  • Galley Cleaning
  • Wiping tables and chairs
  • Vacuuming
  • Removing rubbish
  • Cleaning lavatories
  • Carry out delegated cleaning tasks to a high standard using approved cleaning materials and equipment.
  • To carry out secure cleans
  • Replenishment
  • Complete security checks whilst on board the aircraft, ensuring all seats and stowage areas are checked and are clear of foreign items.
  • To report any visible vehicle faults to your supervisor/duty manager with your team vehicle.
  • Report any health and safety matters that give you concern to your supervisor / duty manager.

Qualifications and Skills

  • No previous experience is necessary although previous experience would be beneficial.
  • Ability to work under pressure and use own initiative
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Must be able to obtain and retain a Full Airside Pass

Training

Full training will be provided for this role.

Salary & Hours

This role involves working on a rolling shift pattern with an average working week of 37.5 hours

Please note that due to the location of the role, you will be required to work unsociable hours/commit to a rolling shift pattern. You will need to be flexible with regards to the hours required to work.

This role will involve working some (but not all) weekends and also some (but not all) Public Holidays.

Starting pay rate is £9.05 per hour.

Upon completion of the Airside Driving permit this will increase to £9.41 per hour.

Overtime Rates

Monday to Friday overtime at x 1.5 (time plus a half)

Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays x 2.0 (double time)

Free car parking will also be provided for this role.
