Waste and Water Bowser Driver

One Resourcing are extremely proud to be recruiting for Water and Waste Bowser Driver on behalf of our client DHL.
The shift pattern is 4 on 4 off. You will be required to be fully flexible as there will be the possibility of working days and nights. You will be required to work some, but not all weekends and some, but not all bank holidays.
The Toilet and Water Operative will provide an efficient, professional cleaning service in accordance with operational standards, to include secure cleans/searches, if requested.
Responsibilities and Duties
To carry out delegated aircraft cleaning tasks and associated work to a high standard
To carry out secure cleans/searches if requested
To ensure accurate information is completed on all required paperwork
To carry out pre-driving checks, including tyres; water; oil; lights; indicators; beacon fuel and overall condition of the vehicles, reporting any defects to your Team Leader/ Duty Manager
To assist with the cleaning of aircraft, secure cleans and associated work, when requested according to health and safety regulations
To carry out weekly sterilization and fill out relevant paperwork according to company procedure
To use chlorination powder/elsil when filling potable water
To use degerm powders/fluid (blues) when using toilet bowsers
To be aware of the toilet dumping and filling (incl frost) procedures relevant to the specific aircraft
To be aware of the potable water drain/fill procedure (incl frost) for the aircraft
To project a smart and professional image through thorough working practices
To report any health and safety matters that give you concern to your Team Leader/ Duty Manager
To maintain the cleanliness of vehicles inside and out, ensuring a smart and professional image of the company is maintained
To carry out any other duties connected to our operations to project a high-class service
To comply with the company policies and procedures ensuring they are always adhered to
Skills and Experience Required
Proven experience gained in either cleaning, aviation, ground handling or similar industry and a good working knowledge of aviation operations
Good communication skills
Good standard of literacy and numeracy
Ability to work as part of a team
Ability to work under pressure to meet tight turn-around times
Full Manual UK Driving Licence
The Water and Waste Bowser Driver will need the ability to react quickly to given situations, using innovative, creative solutions, and not be afraid of becoming one of the team if the situation demands it. Heavy lifting and working in extreme weather will apply.
All staff are expected to be flexible in their duties and their rosters due to the ever-changing nature of our business. You will need to be flexible in terms of working hours as this is an airport based role.

£10.85 per hour – overtime paid at £16.28
Due to the business requirements and the possibility of working unsociable hours candidates have to be at least 18 years of age to be considered for this position.
Please be aware that due to Airport security regulations, all candidates would need to provide a full five year reference history, a UK Criminal Record Check, Overseas Criminal Record Check where applicable and will also need to undertake Security Awareness Training before starting work.
